Terms of Service

Abika lets you create audio narrations of stories using voices you record or upload, and AI-generated story text. Features, limits and pricing may change over time.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for adults; children may listen to narrations only under the supervision of a parent or guardian who owns the account.

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

Abika offers a free monthly allowance plus one-time credit packs. The price and the credits included in each pack are shown at checkout. Credits are a one-time purchase — there is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.

Payments are processed by our payment provider, Creem (creem.io), acting as Merchant of Record. This means Creem is the seller of record for your purchase, issues your invoice and handles applicable taxes. Your payment is subject to Creem’s terms in addition to these Terms.

Purchased credits are added to your account immediately and expire after the period shown at checkout. See our Refund Policy.

You agree not to use the Service to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or create harmful, deceptive, harassing or fraudulent content.

Voice uploads and recordings are subject to additional rules in our Voice Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

You retain ownership of the voices, recordings, text and other content you provide ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process and use Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you (including sending audio to our speech-processing systems to generate narrations).

You are solely responsible for Your Content and confirm you have all rights and permissions needed to provide it. See the Voice Policy for voice-specific requirements.

Story text and audio are produced by automated AI systems. AI output is inherently variable and may contain inaccuracies, and its quality, style, tone or resemblance to a source voice cannot be guaranteed. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before relying on or sharing it.

Because a free monthly allowance lets you evaluate the Service before buying, dissatisfaction with the subjective quality of AI-generated output is not a defect and is not, by itself, a ground for a refund. See our Refund Policy.

We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or the Voice Policy, or to comply with the law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
